C&S has an immediate opening for a part-time Custodian in Jefferson City.

Salary/hours for Custodian: $17/hr.; Monday-Friday 1-5 p.m.

Responsibilities for Custodian:

• performing custodial duties and maintaining building grounds
• set and clean up for meetings and events
• print shop duties and maintenance
• distributing mail to departments
• emptying and disposing of trash
• operating cleaning and other equipment
• reporting repairs and needed replacements
• cleaning floors (vacuuming, carpet cleaning, strip/wax/polish hard floors)

Requirements for Custodian:

• knowledge of the standard equipment tools and practices of cleaning and sanitizing
• understanding of computer and mail operations, including print shop machinery is preferred
• willingness to learn new cleaning methods and equipment
• awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• ability to become familiar with business practices and departmental procedures
• good communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work independently and use of sound judgement/discretion
